The Liturgy is more than a string of words...it offers a fundamental shape and structure for our life of faith. In this session, Mother Sylvia gives an overview of the basic shape of the Eucharistic Liturgy in the Episcopal Church, briefly touching on the significance of each liturgical action/moment.
Session 2: Foundational Assumptions
The Liturgy is the practice by which our faith, identity, and action as members of the Body of Christ is enacted, expressed, and shaped. Our liturgical choices must not be on the basis of personal preference, alone, because what we do and how we do it both reflects and shapes what we, the Church, believe about creation, community, humanity, and God.
